My baby slept very well on this mattress. It has a smooth surface so it is easy to keep clean. When it was time for our child to sleep in a toddler bed, we simply turned it over to the less firm side and it was comfortable.

We bought this for our first child who is now almost 3 and still sleeping on it in his toddler bed. The first night we moved him from the bassinet to this matress he slept through the night at only 7 weeks. He will not sleep in the car or out and about but has never had a problem sleeping on this matress napping for 3 hours and sleeping for 10 hours through the night. Whenever he naps elsewhere in another crib, cot, or bed he usually doesn't sleep more than 2 hrs at the most. We have been so happy with it we are now ordering a second for baby #2!

Beware that this mattress is so firm that it feels like a board. Our first child never slept through the night on it. We have been struggling with getting our second comfortable on it and have decided to purchase another mattress because it is just too firm. I realize that firm is best for babies for safety reasons, but this is just too firm for us.
