The detail makes it look much more expensive than it is. The color is really more true white and not antique so if you are trying to match furniture be careful. It didn't matter to me but be forewarned. It was simple and straightforward to put together and we did it under an hour. You can tell it is great construction and quality. It wasn't too difficult to assemble either, although you will need two people. The rubbed black finish is really nice, not too distressed. It has a nice, rich look. One thing to keep in mind, there is only a place to tie the back bumper on each end so it is kind of loose in the middle. We tied ours very tight on each end and it seems to be okay. We bought this crib when it was waaay on sale but after receiving it, I think I would even pay full price because it is exactly what I was hoping for! I think our baby will love it when he gets here! I purchased this newer version for our newest addition and it is just as great. It is almost the exact same crib so I can use one of the dressers from the old set. It is very sturdy and easy to put together. It took my husband less than an hour to have it completely assembled. The ONLY complaint I have is that when you do convert this to a full size bed there are 2 holes where the side rails of the crib were attatched and as far as I can tell there is really no way to cover this. |
